Roses are red, Violets are blue, are they really blue or purple? These fun violet enamel earrings are perfect for the Spring and Summer seasons. Are you looking for a unique pair of earrings that is lightweight and easy to wear? Look no further. What a beautiful piece of art for your ears!

The enamel copper charm has been made by Havana Beads, by fusing enameled (glass) powders in different colors with the torch. The unique shape of the charm and the violets says fun to me. Along with the enamel charm I have added handmade lamp-work beads with lavender turquoise blue green pastel colors. Of course, I had to use Swarovski crystal beads to enhance and give sparkle to these fun earrings. To finish the design, I added sterling silver French Ear wires.

If you love flowers, especially violets then these earrings are a perfect match for you. These fun Spring Summer earrings would be a perfect Mother's Day gift, an Easter gift, for a co-worker, someone who loves flowers, or for yourself.

What do violets symbolize?

Violets symbolize modesty. According to Greek mythology, violets were created when one of Artemis' nymphs, who had all sworn to stay maidens, was being pursued by her twin brother Apollo.  To protect her nymph, Artemis transformed her into a violet, which in turn led the violet to become a symbol of modesty.

The color purple has always been associated with opulence, uniqueness, and beauty. Wearing purple symbolizes royalty, grandeur, independence, wisdom, devotion, extravagance, pride, and creativity, just to mention a few. They did so because the color purple symbolizes loyalty and trust. This comes from the association with royalty.
