These Halloween earrings feature a spine-tingling vintage skull charm with a horror movie poster design. Look at those deep-inset eyes on the charms. Spooky and frightful is how I describe these earrings.
The combination of coral resin roses and rectangle ceramic skull charms is both cute and scary. The artisan designer handcrafted the skull charms for durability.
I added green porcelain bead caps beads under the rose. The coral rose is on top of the bead caps, which enhance the flower on the skull. I finished my design with Swarovski olivine crystal beads to enhance the leaves on the charms. We know Swarovski olivine beads for their quality and shine.
I suspended the skull earrings from sterling silver French hook ear wires, which are hypoallergenic.

The combination of the rose and the skull is representative of the duality of life that beauty and darkness can coexist. It symbolizes the idea that life is not always perfect, but there is still beauty to be found in the imperfect.

Skulls are a Halloween symbol that represents death and mortality.
While the holiday of Día de Los Muertos is rooted in the Catholic holidays of All Saint’s Day and All Hollow’s Day, the indigenous people of central and southern Mexico have adapted these traditions to include ancient Aztec beliefs of honoring their deceased loved ones. The holidays celebrate the belief that the gates of heaven are opened on these dates to allow deceased loved ones to return and spend the day with their families. At midnight on October 31, the spirits of all deceased children, known as Angelitos, are allowed to reunite with their families for 24 hours. On this same day, small skulls are often placed on the offrenda (altar), representing the children who have passed. The following day, November 2, larger and more detailed skulls replace the smaller ones, representing the deceased adults who now come down to enjoy the festivities that are prepared for them.
