The Artisan-made lampwork beads in these earrings captured my heart. The beautiful matte appearance lampwork beads were handcrafted by the talented artist Karen. The beads feature aqua and ocean blue hues, complemented by silver and bronze highlights. Swarovski Indian Sapphire crystals and scalloped flower bead caps can be found beneath the striking lampwork beads. The lampwork beads now have another scalloped bead cap on top. Elegant Swarovski Indian Sapphire AB and Indian Sapphire satin crystals are added to complete my design giving these exquisite earrings a wonderful glow. I know Swarovski beads are known for their quality and shine and that’s the reason I use them in my designs. These ocean blue lampwork earrings dangle beautifully from sterling silver French ear wires.

The color blue has long been associated with feelings of peace, serenity, and calm, perhaps due to apparent connections to the sky and water. Aqua is the color of the ocean. Aqua can mean balance and stability, as well as peace, growth, and energy.
A little bit about lampwork beads and why they are so special:
Lampwork beads are handmade glass beads. These special beads are crafted using a centuries-old process called lampworking. Rods of colorful glass are melted in a special torch and the molten glass is then wound around a steel rod, forming a basic bead. The hot bead can then be embellished using a variety of techniques and materials, creating unique and one-of-a-kind beads.
The term "lampwork" refers to the source used to heat the glass. In the old days' oil lamps were used as the heat source, thus the term "lampwork".
