Unfinished (raw) brass, which will darken with time and use. If you leave water to dry on brass, it won't respond well, as with chemicals like hair spray or perfume. However, you can bring back its bright shine with a polishing cloth or just some soap and water. You can use a commercial brass cleaner to get brass back to its original color.
Gold-filled components contain 100 times more actual gold than gold-plated components and are very durable and tarnish resistant. People with sensitive skin can wear gold-filled jewelry.
