I was enchanted by the whimsical charms, and they won me over. The purple hat caught my attention, even though I know that a snowman usually wears a black hat. The artisan designer, Susana Paredes, used polymer clay to create the circular charms. Susana used polymer clay to transfer pictures from her own watercolor painting of a snowman. After giving the charms a lovely sheen and sanding them down, jewelry-grade varnish was applied to them for longevity and protection. Apart from the purple hat on these adorable snowman charms, he has the largest turquoise bow tied around his neck. Adorable tiny flowers in shades of pink and purple have been added to the charms. It goes without saying that the snowman has two black eyes and a carrot for a nose.
A TierraCast silver-plated bead cap is positioned just above the charm. Two sterling silver flower bead caps were used to securely hold Prestige light turquoise briolette beads, and a second sterling silver bead cap was used to hold Swarovski light amethyst satin crystal beads. I know Swarovski beads are known for their quality and shine, and that’s the reason I use them in my designs. I suspended the snowman earrings from sterling silver French hook ear wires, which are hypoallergenic.
